Vegan Cheesy Sauce

1/2 C. Cashew nuts

2 Tbs. sesame tahini (opt)

3 C. Water

1 Tbs. Lemon juice

1/3 C. Pimentos

1/2 tsp. Garlic powder

1 tsp. Onion powder

1 1/2 tsp. Salt

2 Tbs. yeast flakes

2 1/2 Tbs. cornstarch

 

1. Blend all ingredients until very smooth.

I start with the cashews and blend them

with a little of the water until very smooth

and then add the rest of the ingredients

and the rest of the water.

 

2. Place in a sauce pan and bring to a boil

while stirring. Boil a couple minutes until

thickened. Serve over rice or pasta or use

on a baked potato.
